Meeting Dr. Loren
My medical school training was in my hometown of Detroit, Michigan at Wayne State University School of Medicine a large state school with a training program in an inner city area.
I did my internship and residency in pediatrics in New York City at Babies Hospital, which was a part of Presbyterian Hospital a large busy city hospital and a major referral center.
My fellowship in allergy was in Denver at National Asthma Center/National Jewish Hospital where I studied with a number of great teachers. Dr. Hyman Chai stood out as the best. Dr. Chai taught me the importance of listening carefully to each patient, The solution will be hidden in the words. After my fellowship ended I was asked to be a part of the faculty and for three years I was involved in the training of fellows and the development of clinical research studies.
I have a small dog, Rocky, who I adore. Rocky and I go on walks almost every day. If you have a pet allergy I will work with you. Rocky has advised me to never force you to get rid of your pet.
